Preparation
- Start by mixing the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a bowl until combined. Press the mixture firmly into a lined baking pan.
- In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar together until smooth. Add the eggs, all-purpose flour, lemon zest, and fresh lemon juice and mix until well combined.
Baking
- Pour the filling over the crust and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25–30 minutes, or until the edges are set but the center has a slight jiggle.
- Once cooled, dust the bars with powdered sugar and garnish with additional lemon zest before slicing into squares.
Notes
Chill the bars for at least two hours before cutting; this helps them hold their shape better. Using parchment paper in your pan allows for easier removal and cutting.
