Ingredients
  

For the Cookie Dough
  • 3/4 Cup Butter, softened Use unsalted butter at room temperature.
  • 3/4 Cup Brown sugar Dark or light brown sugar both work.
  • 3/4 Cup Granulated sugar
  • 2 large Eggs Use room-temperature eggs.
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups All-purpose flour Measure by spooning and leveling.
  • 1 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 14 cookies Oreo cookies, coarsely crushed Crush by hand for varied sizes.
  • 2 cups White chocolate chips (12 oz bag) Use high-quality chips.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper or lightly spray with cooking spray.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt until evenly combined.
  3. In a stand mixer or large bowl, beat the softened butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar for about 2 minutes until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, then incorporate the vanilla extract until just combined.
  5. Slowly mix in the dry ingredient mixture until just incorporated; stop when no flour streaks remain.
  6. Fold in the crushed Oreo pieces and white chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  7. Roll the dough into 1 1/2-inch balls and place them about 2 inches apart on the prepared cookie sheet.
Baking
  1. Bake for about 7–9 minutes until edges are lightly golden and centers are set but still soft.
  2. Allow cookies to cool on the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

Store baked cookies in an airtight container. For added softness, keep a slice of bread in the container or freeze the cookies to maintain freshness.
