Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
  2. Prepare the vanilla cake mix according to package directions, combining the cake mix, eggs, vegetable oil, and water. Beat until smooth.
  3. Divide the batter evenly between the two prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
Assembly & Decoration
  1. Place one cake layer on a serving plate, spread frosting over the top, and add the second layer.
  2. Use remaining frosting to cover the top and sides, smoothing as desired.
  3. Decorate with colorful sprinkles and arrange Marshmallow Peeps on top.
  4. Serve sliced at room temperature for the best texture.
