Ingredients
  

For the cookie dough

  • 1 large egg Room temperature preferred for better mixing.
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract Use high-quality vanilla for best flavor.
  • 2.75 cups all-purpose flour Measure correctly to avoid dense cookies.
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder Ensure it's fresh for best rise.
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda Helps with leavening.
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt Enhances flavor.
For decoration
  • 1 bag pastel M&M's Use to create bunny faces and ears.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Slice half of the pastel M&Ms vertically to make ear halves.
  2. Preheat your oven to 350℉ and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In an electric mixer, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and vanilla, mixing until smooth.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Slowly combine wet and dry ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  7. Scoop and roll the dough into balls, place on a baking sheet spaced 2 inches apart.
Baking
  1. Flatten each ball slightly and bake for 9–11 minutes until edges are set.
  2. Remove from the oven and let cookies cool for 1–2 minutes before decorating with M&Ms.

Notes

Store cooled cookies in an airtight container for up to a week. Freeze for longer storage. Dough can be refrigerated or frozen for later use.
