Preparation and Mixing
- In a large bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth and slightly fluffy.
- Pour in the sweetened condensed milk and continue to mix until fully combined and glossy.
- Sift the all-purpose flour with the baking powder into the butter-condensed milk bowl.
- Use a spatula to fold gently until a soft dough forms.
Shaping the Cookies
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions and roll into uniform balls with lightly floured hands.
- Place them on a lined baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
Baking
- Bake in a preheated oven (350°F / 175°C) until edges are just golden, usually 10–12 minutes.
- Cool on the pan for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack and dust with powdered sugar when fully cooled.
Notes
Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. Refrigerate for up to 1 week. For freezing, bake cookies and freeze in a single layer for 1 hour, then transfer to a container or bag for up to 3 months.
