Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a standard 9×5-inch loaf pan, or line it with parchment for easy removal. Combine the topping sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
- Whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon in a large bowl until evenly blended.
- In a separate bowl, whisk melted butter with granulated sugar and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs, milk, and vanilla extract and whisk until combined.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry mix and fold gently until just combined. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
- Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs. Brush the top lightly with melted butter and sprinkle the cinnamon-sugar topping evenly.
Notes
For variations, consider adding diced apples, chocolate chips, or drizzling with cream cheese glaze. Store at room temperature for up to 2 days or refrigerate for up to 5 days. Freezing is also an option.
